The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund

Up to £16m is available to UK business across 2 competitions for technologies and systems for extreme and challenging environments.

Innovate UK is making the funding available for robotics and artificial intelligence technologies in applications such as deep mining, nuclear energy, space and off-shore energy.

This is an Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund activity. It aims to develop robotics technologies that can take people out of dangerous work environments and go beyond human limits.

The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), in partnership with Innovate UK, welcomes parties interested in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence for Hazardous Environments to be briefed on the first ISCF competitions:

  • Demonstrator for RAI in extreme and challenging environments phase 1
  • R&D for RAI in extreme and challenging environments

Offshore Wind Call for Ideas

OWiX is a cross-sector pilot scheme that aims to accelerate the cost reduction of offshore wind by matching industry challenges with innovative solutions adapted from other parts of the economy. At the same time, it will provide targeted opportunities for UK businesses in different industries to deliver into the renewable energy supply chain.

If you are an innovative SME or organisation with great new technologies or innovations, this call for ideas is an opportunity to become directly linked to, or collaborate with, global players (operators and OEMs) in this rapidly growing sector. Offshore wind is actively seeking new and disruptive technologies from a myriad of sources to help it achieve its full potential.
