CTC receives contract award from Bluewhale

CTC Marine Projects Limited (a DeepOcean ASA subsidiary) has received a
contract award from Bluewhale Offshore Engineering Technology for the
installation of three inter-platform power cables totalling 78km in the
Wenchang field, offshore China.
CTC will use the DP 2 vessel Maersk Recorder which will be mobilising
immediately from Singapore. On completion of the cable lay scope, the
Recorder will remain in China in cooperation with Bluewhale, where it will
provide a series of professional services. These will include, but not be limited
to SAT diving support work, subsea power cable installation, subsea
pipeline/cable trenching and burial as well as riser installation.
CTC puts the total value of the award in the region of USD 15 million.
CTC’s Regional Manager APAC, Pierre Boyde, said: ‘This is a key phase in
the development of CTC’s services, offered in partnership with Bluewhale for
the Chinese Market.’
