RUD Chains Ltd, a leading manufacturer and supplier of over 600 lifting and lashing points for bolting and welding, has seen rising demand for their lifting equipment in the offshore, heavy lifting duty sector, in part due to their impressive working load limits starting from 0.6- 250 Tonnes.

One of RUD’s latest product advances in subsea lifting has been with their innovative ROV Hook. Showcased at Offshore Europe, the RUD ROV Hook was showcased was met with a great deal of interest and enthusiasm. An innovative lifting device operated by Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), it solves all issues found in traditional ROV hooks eliminating the risk of loosing loads (shedding) and unintentional snagging, thus increasing reliability, safety and speed of use.

The WBPG 85-250 Tonne hoist ring, part of the RUD heavy duty lifting range is frequently used across heavy engineering, handling and offshore projects. It is loadable from any side in the direction of the pivot meaning it is suitable for lifting and turning of heavy loads, it rotates 360° and swivels 180°.

RUD ICE Chain is a popular choice for offshore, arctic and extreme materials handling projects due to its impressive resistance to temperatures from -60°c to +300°c. The chain is coated with RUD’s innovative pink powder coating which acts as an overheating indicator, and shows the temperatures in which the chain can be safely used. It offers a considerable 30% reduction in weight and a 60% higher breaking force than grade 80 chains.

The RUD product portfolio is vast, as well as their lifting & lashing equipment they offer a range of manual and motor driven hoist chains and conveyor and drive solutions for horizontal and vertical drive applications.
