KG Develops Unique Tracking and Positioning Method for Commercial Divers

KG have developed an innovative method (first in the world) to track and position commercial divers and the diving vessel. The method is tracking divers via 3D. Demonstrations presented during Subsea Expo 2018 were very well received and welcomed by all diving companies visiting the Subsea Expo.

With this method, the diving supervisor would be assisted with a computer screen showing diver in realtime 3D image complete with surrounding subsea structure and DTM. The supervisor would be able to better understand how the diver is positioned and facing in real-time. The supervisor could navigate the diver in low visibility water and caution divers positioning including surrounding hazards.

This innovative diver tracking method will reduce potential risks and operation time significantly for projects. KG is confident this method will be welcomed by all operators as it improves risk control and efficiency of a project.
