Aker Solutions Gives Lowest Offer for Subsea Deal in Brazil

28 January 2010

Norwegian oilservice company Aker Solutions ASA said Thursday it placed the lowest bid, at EUR195m, for a four-year frame agreement to supply 61 subsea trees to Brazilian oil and gas giant Petroleo Brasileiro or Petrobras.

This was announced at a public bid opening in Brazil.

Under the standard procedure, the company with the lowest bid enters technical clarifications and commercial negotiations with Petrobras. The process is due to take a couple of months. The contract is expected to be signed in the second quarter of 2010, Aker Solutions said, without providing further details.
