DC motors by maxon are part of complex applications in test and measurement technology. Our drives are used in meteorological instruments and climate control devices, precision scales, and laser measurement devices. Some applications go kilometers underground: In deep drilling, our robust drives are in high demand. They work reliably even while exposed to strong vibration at temperatures up to 200 °C. Located immediately behind the drill head, the motors also send data about the position, depth, and speed back to the surface.
