About Highlands and Islands Enterprise
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is the Scottish Government's economic and community development agency for the north and west of Scotland. HIE's purpose is to generate sustainable economic growth across the Highlands and Islands. We work with ambitious companies to accelerate their growth - chiefly through innovation, R&D and international trade. The region is home to globally significant subsea equipment manufacturing facilities, companies and unique training, testing, development and subsea trialling facilities which highlight the importance of the industry to this region and to the world.
