What to Expect
This presentation will take a deep dive into the current landscape of cable monitoring, offering attendees a balanced and informative overview of the tools and technologies shaping modern asset health strategies. The session will be an opportunity to understand the capabilities and limitations of different sensing approaches, backed by real operational insights. The event will also demonstrate examples of how monitoring can be integrated into wider operational frameworks, including windfarm and cable system architectures. A spotlight will also be shone on security and how the cables can self-monitor against tampering and provide additional situational awareness. We're delighted to also welcome MeyGen, and the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) to the speaker line up for this event as well.
Attendees will gain insights into:
- Understanding how raw sensing hardware differs from providing a sensing solution
- The strengths and limitations of different fibre-optic sensing technologies and how to select the right approach
- How sensing technologies can be used to effectively monitor cable health – both during deployment and through life
- What more can be delivered than just cable health – covering security and other operational benefits
- The operational and commercial benefits of implementing monitoring solutions
- Model architectures for deploying monitoring across windfarms and cable systems
Who should attend
This session is ideal for:
- Project developers
- Asset owners
- Operations and maintenance Managers
- Insurers
- Cable specialists
- Cable regulators
