Breakfast briefing and workshop on the Nautexe Extreme Environment Centre
The UK has world leading underwater capability and a shortage of the facilities needed to prove it. The Nautexe Extreme Environment Centre (NEEC) is being developed to close that gap: a large scale, configurable oceanic test, evaluation and training facility at Exeter Science Park, operational from 2029. National infrastructure of this kind only works if it is designed around how industry actually tests. Join Nautexe Global for breakfast to hear where the programme stands, and to provide input into the facility design while that design can still evolve. The event will take place on Thursday 8 October 2026, 08:00 - 10:30am at the Event Studio at Global Underwater Hub.
The session will cover:
· Progress on the NEEC facility and the capability it will offer from 2029
· Real world uses cases
· A facilitated workshop on facility configuration, test requirements and access models, with structured feedback captured to inform the design
Who should attend:
Subsea and offshore energy technology developers, operators, OEMs and programme leads who commission, deliver or rely on test and evaluation activity.
Numbers are limited to keep the workshop discussion productive.
Nautexe Global is a capability development company operating across subsea, offshore energy, defence and space. It addresses the gap between validated concept and operational readiness, combining domain expertise with controlled environments that replicate operational conditions with fidelity and repeatability. The Nautexe Extreme Environment Centre planned for Exeter Science Park, operational from 2029, will give the UK a large scale, configurable oceanic test, evaluation and training facility.
