Global Underwater Hub’s annual Cables conference, supported by RenewableUK, returns for its 2025 edition in September and will once again drive discussion on a core aspect of offshore renewable energy development and in building energy security worldwide.
Cables 2025 will take place at the Energy Central Campus in Blyth on Wednesday, 24 September, bringing together key stakeholders from across the cable and energy industries. The afternoon will feature a workshop session that is designed to foster collaboration and drive debate and discussion around factors critical to the continued development of subsea cables.
Confirmed speakers
The programme for for Cables 2025 is currently being finalised, with further speakers to be announced.. The conference will feature contributions from representatives of DeepOcean, Encomara, Flotation Energy, Maritime Developments, ORE Catapult, Port of Blyth, Proserv, RenewableUK and Siemens Energy.

On the evening prior to the conference, Tuesday, 23 September, a welcome drinks reception will be held at The Commissioners Quay Inn, Quay Road, Blyth, with spaces available on a fist come, first served basis. Details of how to reserve your place at the drinks reception will be provided once you have booked your conference ticket.
