Global Underwater Hub will also be facilitating a session on Tuesday 11th June, 12:30pm - 1:30pm in Theatre A, on projects and opportunities within the Baltic Sea. 
Attendees to Global Underwater Hub’s session will learn about the range of energy sector opportunities in the Baltic Sea region, including projects which make up a combined offshore wind generating capacity aspiration of nearly 20GW by 2030.
 
Led by Steve Fernie, the organisation’s Strategic Programme Manager, the session will provide an update for those familiar with the region or those interested in discovering if it presents a new opportunity.  Steve will be joined by key industry representatives to discuss the upcoming opportunities, including developers and supply chain companies with experience in the region.

Steve Fernie
Strategic Programme Manager, Global Underwater Hub
 
Steve Fernie is Strategic Programme Manager at Global Underwater Hub, a role that sees him identify core areas of focus where products, services and experience can be transferred across numerous underwater markets.  In addition, he ensures that the intelligence offering of GUH is value-adding and aligned to the requirements and strategy of members, stakeholders and the organisation itself in realising the opportunities offered by the blue economy.

Steve has over 12 years’ experience in market analysis and strategy support across the subsea sector, including eight years managing business intelligence, market analysis, forecasting and strategy for a range of global business units within Subsea7.
 
In addition to UK conventional subsea operations, his remit covered global ROV and bespoke tooling, subsea decommissioning, early-stage energy transition, automation and digitisation, and the associated market-expansion opportunities of these.
 
Steve has previously held intelligence and analysis roles within other key product and service provides within the underwater space.
 
 
Jamie MacDonald
Integration Manager, Venterra Group
 
Demonstrated professional history in shaping and growing an energy business in terms of technical strength, commercial performance, and brand awareness across multiple global locations. 

12+ years of experience and a strong track record of managing large projects across the offshore energy and wind industry. With a background in marine and offshore construction and significant experience in strategic pre-lease advisory, most recently at Xodus Group, Jamie is well-versed in offshore wind project development and has extensive experience across global seabed leasing rounds.
 
 
Anu Eslas
Head of International Business Development, Ignitis Renewables

Anu has been a driving force in Baltic Sea and Baltic States energy cooperation as a true enthusiast for offshore wind and strong believer of Baltic cooperation.

She has served as the CEO of the Wind Energy Association in Estonia, Head of Offshore Wind at the Ministry of Communication in Estonia but also VP for Offshore Wind Development Baltic States at RWE. She has also been the project lead for the ELWIND project, a cross-border hybrid offshore wind initiative between Estonia and Latvia, and has represented Estonia at the Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan (BEMIP) initiatives.

Currently, Anu Eslas works for Ignitis Renewables, a Lithuanian based leading green energy company in the Baltics, as the Head of International Business Development. Her focus is on fostering closer cooperation among the countries surrounding the Baltic Sea in light of the region's energy sector transformation.
 
Neil McIntosh
Managing Director, Aberdeen International Associates
 
Neil established local Management Consulting firm Aberdeen International Associates in 2005 and spends most of his time leading the ‘trade’ side of the business, supporting clients with diversification of their customer base, and accessing new geographical markets.

AIA specialise in the energy sector and also provide a range of advisory services to government organisations and project developers in international markets – capacity building, local content, supply chain development, infrastructure etc. across Oil and Gas and Renewables.

Neil is currently Chair of the Supply Chain and Technology Network at Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group and is leading international delegations in partnership with the EIC to markets including Colombia, Guyana, and Namibia.
 
Scott Griffiths
Geoscience Manager, Kraken Robotics
 
Scott Griffiths has worked in the oil and gas and offshore wind farm geophysical survey sector for the last 12 years. His expertise has been focused on geophysical data acquisition, interpretation and reporting and his initial 10 years were spent working at Fugro as a geophysicist, specialising in geophysical site surveys, pipeline and cable route surveys and offshore wind farm surveys. In the last three years Scott has worked at Kraken Robotics (formerly PanGeo Subsea) as the Geoscience Manager. Kraken specialise in 3D geophysical survey technology, primarily the Sub Bottom Imager (SBI), Acoustic Corer (AC) and Synthetic Aperture Sonar systems (SAS).
