Saipem has a long history in the UK since 1983, first with Saipem UK Limited and then through its subsidiary Saipem Limited, which has its headquarters in London, in the borough of Kingston upon Thames; it also has a secondary office and a yard in Aberdeen. The company currently employs more than 800 people in the UK. Its main areas of activity are engineering, procurement, construction, offshore transportation/installations , decommissioning, ROV services, and intervention services on subsea structures, both for conventional energy and for renewable energy infrastructures.
