SAIC drives innovation across Scotland’s aquaculture sector. We support commercially relevant, collaborative R&D that addresses the sector’s most pressing challenges and unlocks future development opportunities.
We work to protect and grow aquaculture’s economic contribution by supporting projects that enhance production efficiency, open new markets, and create opportunities for new businesses. At the same time, we champion environmental responsibility, reducing the sector’s footprint and building long term climate resilience.
Our work spans the full breadth of Scottish aquaculture including finfish, shellfish and seaweed, ensuring the sector remains innovative, competitive and sustainable for generations to come.
