NauteXe Global plans to establish the world’s leading facility to address the national need for critical research, development, training, testing and demonstration for the maritime, defence, energy and space sectors in extreme environments (the NauteXe Extreme Environment Centre (NEEC)).
The main facility in the NEEC is a 50m long x 40m wide pool with depths of 10m and 30m. Modular configurations and the ability to simulate current, wave and light levels allow rigorous testing of underwater robotics, autonomous vehicles and other subsea technologies, advanced commercial diving techniques, and preparation for humans for spaceflight.
The NEEC will include simulation suites to test readiness and command and control during planned and unplanned (emergency) events which affect safety, operational success, business (commercial), property and reputation. The NEEC also provides facilities for research and development and sector specific activity in particular to optimise human health and performance.
The facilities and business model capitalise on the synergies that exist between the maritime, defence, energy and space sectors. This will be a key enabler for the UK's industrial strategy and support the Strategic Defence Review (SDR).
Consultancy & Training Services will be provided using leading subject matter experts (SMEs), supported by proprietary methods and technology to work with clients operating in high-risk environments to assess risk, and assure resilience, compliance, and competency.
