Following the success of the inaugural event in 2025, Global Underwater Hub will host the 2026 edition of its Offshore Structural Integrity Management Conference on Wednesday, 22 April in Aberdeen.

What will it cover?
In the harsh offshore environment, managing the structural integrity of fixed, floating and subsea structures is a key requirement as owners consider their future, be it to safe and continuous late-life production, re-use for energy transition applications such as carbon capture or preparing for decommissioning and removal.

With the UKCS offshore asset base at a high maturity stage, the technologies and learnings from the conference have strong transferability for global applications.

Highlighting the importance of structural integrity management across a range of fixed, floating and subsea facilities, the event will bring together key industry stakeholders in a format designed to share experiences on challenges encountered, novel methods and technology solutions deployed and emerging technical trends in the industry.

Four sequential themed sessions are planned, drawing on a cross-section of case studies, technology developments and new applications, and each session will be followed by an open-floor Q&A with the presenters.
  • Session 1: Structural Integrity Management - themes including metocean, integrity methods, ISO codes & regulations
  • Session 2: Late-Life Integrity Challenges - themes including corrosion, fatigue, subsidence
  • Session 3: Maintaining Operational Life - themes including inspections, repairs, data management, digital twins
  • Session 4: Preparing for the Future - themes including  decommissioning, re-use, repurposing, lifting

Call for abstracts
The event is an ideal opportunity to showcase new technologies or approaches, share case studies that offer increased reliability, cost reduction or improved safety against current norms.  Presenters will be drawn from across Owner / Operators, offshore contractors, and engineering consultants.

We are inviting abstract submissions from those interested in speaking across the following session themes:

  • Structural Integrity Management; Metocean considerations, integrity management methods, ISO codes and regulations
  • Late-Life Integrity Challenges; Corrosion, fatigue and subsidence
  • Maintaining Operational Life; Inspection and repair strategies, data management and digital twins
  • Preparing for the Future; Decommissioning, re-use, repurposing and lifting solutions

The deadline for abstract submissions is 3pm on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, with all proposals submitted via our online form using the link below.
