The North East Regional Defence and Security Cluster (NERDSC) is proud to announce our second collaborative event this time with the Global Underwater Hub (GUH), bringing together leading minds and organizations to explore the critical role of underwater technology in safeguarding national interests.
This partnership underscores a shared commitment to sovereign security and leveraging the UK’s world class underwater supply chain. In an era where underwater domains are increasingly contested and strategically vital, GUH represents an underwater supply chain with world class engineering and manufacture capability, who are also largely under-utilised in defence spend in the North East. The companies traditionally focussed on offshore energy could play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge solutions that protect maritime infrastructure, secure supply chains, and enhance operational resilience.
The event will showcase how collaboration between regional defence clusters and global technology leaders strengthens the UK’s position in the face of emerging threats. By integrating GUH’s advanced underwater technologies with defence strategies, we ensure that our armed forces and critical national assets remain secure, agile, and future-ready.

The office is situated opposite Shepherd Offshore's Offshore Technology Park. There is an onsite car park. A regular bus service is accessible within a short walk, while Newcastle Central Railway Station is within reach by taxi.
