The session offers an excellent opportunity to highlight a new technology or approach to a panel of oil and gas operators and the contractor leadership community.

We are seeking abstracts that demonstrate new, emerging, evolving, or disruptive technologies and approaches, particularly in:
•    Decommissioning
•    Pipelines
•    Late-life extension
•    Subsea controls, production, and IRM (Inspection, Repair & Maintenance)
•    Cross-sector transferability

Abstract Requirements
Submissions should clearly address:
•    The Challenge – What problem does your solution solve (operational, technical, cost, safety, or sustainability)?
•    The Innovation – What is your approach and what makes it new or differentiated?
•    Application – Where has it been applied or tested? Include evidence where possible.
•    Wider Relevance – What is its broader potential, including cross-sector applicability?

Selection Process
•    Abstracts will be reviewed by a panel of operator representatives
•    Successful applicants will be invited to present and provided with full event details
•    Submission outcomes will be communicated following the review period


Key Dates:
•    Submissions open: 17 June 2026
•    Submissions close: 17 July 2026
•    Review period: 17 July – 29 July 2026
•    Applicants notified: 31 July 2026

Event Format
•    Open to both GUH Members and Non-Members to present (no charge for members)
•    8 companies selected to pitch
•    Each presentation: 7 minutes
•    Presentations delivered privately to the judging panel
•    Slide presentations only (no audio or video)
•    One presenter per company

•    Dedicated time to network with peers, build meaningful connections, and explore future collaboration opportunities.

Venue Information

The seminar will take place in the event studio at Global Underwater Hub's premises in Westhill, Aberdeen.  Situated just off the A90 Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route, there is ample onsite and on street parking, while Aberdeen International Airport is a 10-minute drive away and Aberdeen Railway Station is 20 minutes from the office.  A regular Stagecoach bus service connects Westhill with Aberdeen.
