Global Underwater Hub and the Umbilical Manufacturers' Federation will host their annual Umbilicals Conference on Tuesday, 10 November 2026.


The one-day, in-person, conference will take place at the event studio within Global Underwater Hub’s office in Westhill, Aberdeen, once again bringing together stakeholders involved in the design, manufacture, installation and operation of subsea umbilicals.


Taking the theme Umbilicals – Shaping the Future Through Collaboration, the conference will explore a wide range of topics shaping the umbilical industry and the wider offshore energy sector.
 

As the sector evolves, with new markets, technologies and challenges emerging, this is your opportunity to join the conversation, share knowledge and experience, and help drive progress across the industry.

Call for Abstracts

 

A call for abstracts is now open, giving you the opportunity to be part of the conference programme and present within the schedule.

 

Abstracts of 200-300 words are invited on the following topics:

  • New technologies and materials

  • Technical challenges and practical design solutions

  • Safety insights and case studies

  • Project lessons and real-world experience

  • Advances in design, analysis and reliability

  • Better ways of working across the sector

Networking dinner

 

We will be hosting an intimate networking dinner on the evening of the 10th November, after the conference, in Aberdeen.   

This will comprise of an arrival drink, 2-course meal and ½ bottle of wine per person. 

Please note: This cost is separate from your conference pass.

Venue Information
The 2026 Umbilicals Conference will take place in the event studio at Global Underwater Hub's premises in Westhill, Aberdeen.  Situated just off the A90 Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route, there is ample onsite and on street parking, while Aberdeen International Airport is a 10-minute drive away and Aberdeen Railway Station is 20 minutes from the office.  A regular Stagecoach bus service connects Westhill with Aberdeen.
