Energy Maritime Associates unifies under one brand and expands US presence

07 May 2025

Energy Maritime Associates Pte Ltd (EMA) and Archer Knight (Holdings) Ltd have officially united under the Energy Maritime Associates name, marking a major milestone for two of the offshore energy sector’s leading intelligence-based advisory firms.

This rebrand brings together decades of trusted data, global market insight, and industry relationships under one unified brand. It also introduces a new website, www.energymaritimeassociates.com, making it easier for clients to explore EMA’s full range of subscription and consulting services.

The two companies merged in 2023, combining Archer Knight’s Flowline® SaaS platform with EMA’s Floating Production Report Series. The unified name and updated digital presence represent the next chapter in serving industry decision-makers worldwide.

“Our goal was to combine our strengths into a unified offering that raises the standard for offshore energy intelligence,” said David Boggs, Executive Director of Energy Maritime Associates. “We’ve brought together trusted data, global insight, and longstanding industry relationships to better support our clients from early-stage planning through long-term execution.”

The new Energy Maritime Associates website features access to subscription offerings and strategic advisory services, including:

  • Flowline® SaaS Platform - Real-time and historical data on floating production units, subsea projects, vessels, and more
  • Floating Production Report Series - Quarterly updates and a five-year outlook, trusted as the definitive source on floating production systems since 1996
  • Advisory Services - Strategic guidance on the offshore energy sector, including field development, vessel availability, and M&A transactions.

“Together, we’ve created a platform that speaks to the future of offshore energy,” said Michael Watson, Executive Director of Energy Maritime Associates. “Whether clients need in-depth reporting, project tracking, or expert guidance, they can find it all under one roof with accurate, dependable insights that support smart decisions.”

As part of its broader growth strategy, Energy Maritime Associates has also expanded its U.S. presence with the addition of a new business development manager based in Houston, Texas. The new hire, Eric Sherman, brings decades of experience in the offshore energy sector, including a strong background with a leading international company.

"With deep industry knowledge and longstanding relationships in the offshore community, Eric Sherman is the ideal person to expand our presence and support our clients’ evolving needs," Boggs said. "As the Energy Capital of the World, Houston is a natural hub for us to deepen relationships and deliver even greater value to our clients.”

Sherman added: “I’m thrilled to join Energy Maritime Associates and look forward to helping clients make smarter decisions with the best market intelligence on the offshore energy industry.”

The addition of Eric Sherman and the unified brand demonstrate Energy Maritime Associates’ ongoing investment in providing accurate, dependable offshore market intelligence to energy leaders around the world.
