The Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) has opened the £160m Floating Offshore Wind Manufacturing Investment Scheme (FLOWMIS) for applications.

The UK’s floating wind pipeline consists of three separate leasing rounds as follows:

1)ScotWind – 17.6GW
2)INTOG – 5.4GW
3)Celtic Sea – 4GW

Scottish projects represent over 85% of the UK’s floating wind pipeline, and it is anticipated that any future FLOWMIS project funding awards will be reflective of this.

This scheme is open to UK maritime ports and sets out the following criteria which will be eligible for capital investment:

(a) the construction, replacement or upgrade of port infrastructure; The Scheme funding sought relates only to eligible expenditure. Floating Offshore Wind Manufacturing Investment Scheme - Guidance 23
