Inovative lighting solutions: 'Lightpath' is a continuous line of light that identifies a dive umbilical route to the diver. The light is carried along a side emitting fibre optic rope that carries no electrical power, only light. The light source is powered by battery or direct from DC, uses little power and the LED has a long life. The fibre optic rope is 5mm diameter and produces a continuous line of light for typically 70m from a single end injection with the major units designed to operate at up to 500m depth.This unique solution of identifying diver umbilical cables and delineating routes will increase safety and productivity for divers and all personal operating in the subsea environment. The illumination comes in a number of colours and the light can be modulated.
