About Subsea Micropiles
Subsea Micropiles (SM) is adapting terrestrial micropiling technology to the offshore construction sector for high-performance seabed foundations and anchors, supporting a wide range of applications to include increasingly larger offshore wind turbines.
The adaptation of micropiling technology to the offshore sector poses a highly beneficial disruption to an industry where the existing supply chain infrastructure is unsuitable for commercial scale wind farms. Using smaller, more readily available vessels, remote seabed drilling systems and an offshore assembly line approach, large construction jobs can be more reliably completed at half the cost, with reduced vessel requirements, more efficient seabed drilling systems, minimal environmental impact and high local content.
