The annual Global Underwater Hub Challenge Cup Golf Day returns to Banchory Golf Club on Friday, 27 June 2025. Enjoy friendly but competitive rivalry against colleagues from across the underwater and energy industries as you vie to lift the silverware.
Open to teams of four or individuals, the day is an excellent networking opportunity for golfers of all abilities and handicaps, while enjoying a round on a stunning Royal Deeside parkland course.
The day starts with an opportunity to meet fellow teams over a breakfast roll before all teams tee off on a shotgun start on the 5,800-yard course. Morning refreshments will be provided at the half-house before you tackle the final nine holes of your round. Following your 18-hole round enjoy a two-course lunch in the clubhouse. A presentation of prizes concludes the day’s formalities.

A relaxed day that can be as competitive as you wish, the event is open to GUH member companies and non-members. Book a team of four or individual places – and we’ll create a mixed team for you to play in.
Banchory Golf Club
The venue for this year’s GUH Challenge Cup Golf Day is Banchory Golf Club, where the first golf balls were driven along its fairways in 1904. Set on the banks of Aberdeenshire’s majestic River Dee, Banchory Golf Club is a picturesque 18-hole parkland course that offers a challenge to golfers of all abilities.

Though not over long at 5,800 yards – don’t be fooled. Strategically placed bunkers on this par 69 course, mature native trees and the ‘magnetic’ Dee provide obstacles to test even the most accomplished player.
From one of the shortest holes in Scottish golf, the 88-yard Doo’cot, to some of the most testing long holes, Banchory has something to offer everyone. With six par 3 holes and three par 5s, Banchory offers a fun and fair round for the regular or occasional golfer.
