Moorings & Cables Seminar - Water Column

Join Global Underwater Hub as it continues it series of strategic themed seminars with the Moorings & Cables Seminar focused on the Water Column, being held Tuesday, 6 October 2026.

The moorings & cables water column seminar will focus on the critical integration of systems between the water line and the seabed, in particular for floating offshore wind.  This includes the critical relationship between the moorings system and the electrical cables for inter-array and export. 

This seminar will focus on:

- Cable fatigue and station keeping 

The event will begin with presentations from industry, which will then flow into a workshop and finish with networking.

Supported by industry, these limited capacity seminars allow full-ranging discussion around discrete topics, facilitated in GUH’s regional offices.

Venue Information

The seminar will take place in the event studio at Global Underwater Hub's premises in Westhill, Aberdeen.  Situated just off the A90 Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route, there is ample onsite and on street parking, while Aberdeen International Airport is a 10-minute drive away and Aberdeen Railway Station is 20 minutes from the office.  A regular Stagecoach bus service connects Westhill with Aberdeen.
