Navigating Global Workforce Mobility: Immigration, Tax and Compliance for 2026

Date: Tuesday 31 March
Time: 11am-1pm

As part of our series of HR-focused events designed to help you stay informed, confident, and prepared for the year ahead, join experts Kelly Hardman (Fragomen) and Tom Harrison (Johnston Carmichael) as we explore global workforce mobility.

Event Overview

As businesses continue to operate across borders and deploy talent internationally, the landscape of immigration, global mobility and tax compliance is becoming increasingly demanding. This session brings together specialists in immigration strategy, international mobility and cross-border tax to provide organisations with a clear, practical understanding of the key issues shaping workforce movement in 2026 and beyond.
Our speakers from Fragomen and Johnston Carmichael will explore the challenges and opportunities facing employers as they navigate overseas project delivery, international recruitment, short-term assignments, remote working arrangements and director-level travel. They will share recent and upcoming changes in UK immigration policy, global mobility governance and tax/social security obligations, drawing on live policy developments, sponsor compliance trends and enforcement activity, offering insight into what HR, finance and operational leaders need to know to stay compliant while supporting business growth.

Topics which will guide our discussion

How to manage tax and social security risks associated with cross-border workers
