To round off this year’s Umbilicals Conference, Global Underwater Hub and the Umbilical Manufacturers’ Federation have organised a networking dinner for delegates to attend.
It will take place on Tuesday, 11 November at Malmaison Aberdeen in the city’s west end. Only 20 places are available for this event, which will be served in the hotel’s private Rubislaw room.
Following arrival drinks at 18:30, sponsored by the Umbilical Manufacturers’ Federation, guests will sit down at 19:00 to enjoy a two-course dinner prepared by the talented chefs at this four-star city hotel. Dinner costs £40 per person, including VAT, with attendees selecting their options from a set menu in advance.
The evening is an excellent opportunity to network with fellow conference attendees in a relaxed, informal environment, following the day’s conference at Global Underwater Hub’s offices in Westhill.
The cost of attending the dinner is in addition to the standard conference pass, tickets for both events must be purchased separately.

Main course
- Half roast corn-fed chicken breast, pomme mousseline charred cavolo nero, peppercorn sauce
- Paprika cod, chorizo and fennel fricassee, cauliflower puree, straw fries
- Braised pork cheek ragu, rigatoni pasta, Parmesan
- Roasted crown prince pumpkin puy lentil vinaigrette, plant based stracciatella crispy onions and cavolo nero (VGI)
- Mal burger, bacon, Gruyère cheese, relish, French glazed bun
Served with a selection of chefs vegetables and potatoes
Dessert
- Vanilla crème brûlée (V)
- Warm tiramisu brownie with coffee mascarpone and chocolate sauce (V)
- Sticky toffee pudding served with toffee sauce and milk ice cream (V)
- Pina colada trifle with rum roasted pineapple, coconut sorbet and ginger crumble (VGI)
- Cheese plate featuring artisan cheese, chutney, quince and crackers

Venue
Situated in the west end of Aberdeen, Malmaison is around a 20 – 30-minute drive from Global Underwater Hub’s office in Westhill, depending on traffic.
