Global Underwater Hub is delighted to offer, available to members only, spaces at our upcoming Workplace Mental Health (WMH) - 1 day course which will be held at our office in Westhill, Aberdeen.
Why Attend?
This one-day course builds upon the foundation of the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan, delving into strategies to foster a positive mental health culture within a professional setting.
About the Course
The curriculum encompasses various facets of First Aid for Mental Health, addressing critical subjects such as:
- Understanding First Aid for Mental Health
- Recognising Mental Health Conditions
- Initiating Conversations about Mental Health
- Managing Stress
- Addressing Mental Health Conditions
- Navigating Issues Related to Drugs and Alcohol
- Implementing a First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan
- Integrating Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace
Upon conducting an employer's first aid needs assessment, you may find value in designating mental health First Aiders. These individuals are equipped to identify symptoms, comprehend mental health issues, and provide vital support to those in need.
Assessment
Participants undergo evaluation through a diverse range of methods, including practical exercises and both open-ended and multiple-choice questioning.
Certificate Duration
The certification is valid for three years, ensuring that participants stay abreast of the latest insights and skills in mental health first aid.

- We have 8 places available to our members.
- Please note, due to the limited numbers these will be allocated 1 place per member company initially
- Lunch will also be provided
- This is an in-person event only
