Pinsent Masons Breakfast To Discuss Taxation in Oil and Gas Sector

31 January 2025

International full service commercial law firm Pinsent Masons is hosting a breakfast seminar on Thursday, 20 February exploring the latest tax challenges in the oil and gas sector, covering both transactions and contentious tax matters.

Held in the firm’s offices on Queen’s Road in Aberdeen, attendees will hear from Jake Landman and Jamie Robson of Pinsent Masons award-winning energy taxation team. They will be joined by Jonathan Peacock KC, leading tax silk for the energy sector from 11 New Square chambers.

During the seminar, attendees will address the full timeline of a tax issue, including: insight into some important tax issues arising on recent oil and gas mergers and acquisitions, dealing effectively with increasing HMRC scrutiny and enquiries, and tax issues relevant to the oil and gas industry that are being litigated.

The breakfast seminar, which runs from 08:30 until 10:00, provides an opportunity to gain knowledge and practical advice on handling tax issues in the oil and gas sector.
