Global Underwater Hub and Cundall invite you to an exclusive event in Newcastle taking place on Thursday, 23 October.

This morning event provides an opportunity to network with colleagues and hear from industry leaders on key topics impacting the UK’s multi-billion pound underwater industry.

The event will feature two speakers - Kevin McGee and Guy Arnold - exploring the topic of circularity and sustainability in the offshore energy sector, including moves to invest in the supply chain for domestic offshore wind.

Why attend
Attendees to Global Underwater Hub’s breakfast networking event will hear from representatives of two organisations at the forefront of the energy industry.

Event sponsor Cundall is a global, independent, multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering sustainable engineering and design solutions across the built environment, including energy and infrastructure projects.

With the introduction of the Clean Industry Bonus, Cundall will walk attendees through the importance of circularity and sustainability in the offshore energy sector.  Attention will focus on how setting measurable and quantifiable targets in line with the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) will become essential beyond AR7 for the offshore energy supply chain and end-users alike.

Kevin McGee, Head of Geoenvironmental Engineering at Cundall will discuss subjects such as:
  • What does future UK guidance look like for the offshore energy sector.
  • Who is affected and what the impact could be.
  • What is circularity and sustainability
  • Why not taking action is a commercial risk.
  • How to be future ready.
  • How SBTi standards work, including a walkthrough of the new consultation document prepared by SBTi standards for the energy sector.
